we finally have a blog

This is something we have talked about on an off in the the past 25 months. A lot of a you are reading this because you already know a lot of our story. We’ve debated back and forth as to how much online presence we would like to have and how much exposure one would want for their child. In the end, we decided that Maliyah’s story needed to be told as it is an ongoing story. We’ve had 3 hospitalizations in the last 4 months and after our most recent hospitalization for a PICC line infection, we knew that we had to have a way to keep everyone informed. This will also be a way for us to document and record all the memories we have already made and will make in the future.

As time goes on we will eventually fill in the gaps of Maliyah’s story. I hope to put together some videos and write a blog or two of what has led us to this point. We hope that through this blog you will see the real challenges of raising a child with special medical needs but also the incredible blessing one can find in the process. We want you to know that these are our thoughts, opinions, and experiences. There may be some very emotionally raw posts, but also so amazing “walk on air” moments. We hope that in a small way, it may help others in their journey through life. God has been so good to us and He has been with us every step of the way.

This will be a space where we will share highlights, struggles and victories. We invite you to come with us on this journey together.
